Well after the day off yesterday it was back to work this morning. Jenny’s car is still in the shop. Hopefully I will be getting a call this afternoon saying I can pick it up anytime. I hope this is the last of any fixes we have to do on this car.
No new tv in the kitchen anymore
Just got the jeep back a few hours ago. Took jenny’s car in as we picked the jeep up. My catilitic convertor was bad and they had to replace a faulty front bering again. For some reason the type they were using just wasn’t working to good on the jeep. Jenny’s car ended up needing a catilitic convertor also. Hers is much more than mine, she also needs new brake shoes and rotors in the front. I hate putting more money into her car but I guess we are just not quite ready to buy a new car yet. Just keep this one going and safe. My boss is going to pick me up for work tomorrow and jenny will drive the jeep. They had to order the convertor since the factory convertor was going to be 600 dollars for some reason. The after market one is only 300. It will be in tomorrow. They should have it finished when I am done at work. My boss should be able to take me over there to pick it up then.

Well Steamatic came and left. Seemed to do a great job
Only time will tell now. All the spots came out that we asked them to clean up. I guess we just have to wait to see if they stay away. We had them steam clean all the carpet (not the closets though) and two area rugs we have at the garage entrance and the front entrance. We had them put scotch guard on the carpet also. Hopefully that will work like what I have heard it does. We need to go around and vacum, just to get some fuzz up that they brought to the survace when they were cleaning. Then we can move all the stuff back. I figure I can put most of the electonics back together later this evening. Maybe I can work on getting our bedroom back together also. Then tomorrow after work I can find some time to get the rest of the stuff up from downstairs. Now that this is finished I think I will try to clean and organize the basement a bit and get back to working on drywall and mud. I still need to work on getting that gas line run and speaker wire run. I think I am going to run one more coax and network cable to a spot in the kitchen before I close up the ceiling. I think I will just spend the extra 200 or so dollars and insulate the ceiling also. Hoping that will cut down on some of the noise we might hear if someone is walking upstairs. So plenty of things to do. Just need to find the time to do it.

House is almost ready for steamaster today
I worked until about 12:30 last night. It took a bit of time to take apart the computer room. I now have the webserver downstairs next to the firewall in the rack. I put the rest of my boxes downstairs. Will probably move them back upstairs eventually. Now I have to unplug both televisions and roll them off the carpet area. I have to do a few things in the bedroom and I have to move a few chairs out of the dinning room. I think I will ready in plenty of time since they are coming at 10 to 12 today. I need to call the car shop to see how the jeep is going and see when they will want jenny’s car. Hopefully everything will fall into place without a problem today.

Mowed again last night
Thought I would try to get the lawn cut one more time before we get more rain. It sprinkled a bit last night late but nothing really heavy. I put some more grub and bug killing stuff down. Hopefully it will rain today or tomorrow if not I will water it in friday evening with the sprinkler. I will be putting the weed and feed down anyday now also. Just need to find a good day to do that. Want to let the grass grow a bit so some of the weeds are a bit bigger. Then it will really knock them down good.

Getting ready for tomorrow
Last night I emptied out most of the furniture in the guest bedroom. Just left the bed. Tonight I will remove most of the stuff in the living room and get the chairs out of the dining room. Tomorrow morning I will get the electronics out of the livingroom and remove everything I can think of out of the bedroom. We will be having the carpets steam cleaned tomorrow at 10am or there abouts. First time for me so hopefully everything goes smooth.

Well I have tweaked the new blog a little bit
I have added a few things to the blog now. Getting a little more familiar with wordpress. Very easy to use compared to mt I think. You just have to change index.php for the most part. I have added some text at the top that will tell you how man new coments and how many new entries to the blog have been posted since the last time you have visited. There will be a new image next to each new comment and new entry.
I have also added the ability for you to switch the look of the blog if you wish. Just go to the bottom of the menu on the right hand side and click on the text of the layout you like. There are a few really cool ones there.

New blog is official
MT has pissed off many people with the new version. I like the version I was using (2.661) but since they are moving to a paid version and a few other things (one of which is the common registration for comments) I did not like seeing. I am moving my blog over to wordpress. Seems to be just as nice. A few features I like about it and a few I dislike. Over all still accomplishes the same thing that MT was doing for me. So today. I have made the change and in a few weeks I will probably remove all mt files from my server and also the database. The import from movable type to wordpress was so easy. One import php link and everything was in and ready to go. I am up and running.

Had a great weekend
Saturday my younger brother carl graduated from college. That filled up saturday. Had a great time with family. Came back home and started getting ready to work on the front yard landscaping with the neighbor. He came out and let me know he was sorry, was getting a little to late, they had a previous dinner engagement. So I put the stuff away and got the mower out and mowed the yard. Man that grass can grow when you fertilize and it rains a whole bunch. Which reminds me, the second application of fertilizer is suppose to go on this week sometime.
Sunday we got up and I headed out front to start on the landscaping project. Neighbor showed up just a little after I did. We talked for a few and then called the nursery to make sure they were open and headed out to pick up a few small plants and the mulch. Got back and started laying the plants out and laid the hose out to see what shape we wanted to make. Then we removed the plants and started to dig the holes for the plants. Then we dug a small trench around the area we wanted to mulch. At that point we can start laying down the weed barrier. After the weed barrier was down we cut holes in the weed barrier and started planting the plants. He went to get some more top soil for his side. I finished up on my side. When he got back I was working on putting one more plant in the other side of the yard. I had one extra and some space over there so I planted it over on the other side. He finished up planting his and we started to mulch. It all ended up very nice in the end. So now that project is out of the way and I can get back to the basement.
