Well looks like the furnace company is sending a guy out to take a look at the problem. At that time they will try to figure out what needs to be done and who is going to pay for it. Might be the furnace guys just eat it, or the builder picks up the tab or I might have to pay for them to fix it. I have no idea. I am going to be there at 8am though to make sure they can look at the problem and I can hear it from the guy as to what is going to happen. Hope they just can do a quick fix tomorrow and that is that. But odds are they will need to come back and do some more and I will have to pay in the end to get it fixed.

Yep we have a small leak
The builder was great. Climbed all the way back to the problem area and looked around. Found some moist insulation and noticed a bit of a leak in the vent for the furnace. Might be a moisture problem it might be a leak. Called the heater contractor and they will call me tomorrow. They are trying to sort out how they are going to fix it, maintance or installation. Do I have to pay to get it fixed or do they fix it for free. At any rate, hopefully it will be fixed and dried out sometime next week. Then I have to paint the drywall areas that are discolored.

Might have a leak in the roof
I noticed awhile ago that there was a bit of a stain in our master bedroom on the ceiling. Thought that maybe the painter missed a bit or something. Well noticed last night that the stain had gotten a bit bigger and there was a small portion on the wall also. Think we have a leaky roof or maybe it is from a cold rafter and the insulation is not covering what it should be covering. At any rate. I am meeting our builder out there today at 4pm and hopefully we find the problem and can get it fixed relatively quick. I do not fall in the 1 year house warranty the builder gave us but hopefully he will take care of it on his own. IF not I have a name of a roofer that sounds good.

Drywall time
I have figured out how much drywall I will need, I believe, hoping it is correct. Plan to go get about 50 sheets of 1/2 inch drywall in a few weeks. I can then button up the office and bathroom pretty quickly. After I get the walls covered I will be happy, since the basement will be taking shape. I will probably get one more load of drywall for the ceiling (3/4 inch) and if I need more 1/2 inch I will get it at that time also. I still have a few little things to do like building the sofet around a few ducts and around the metal I-beams in the middle of two rooms. I think i am going to put mdf around the two I-beams though. Now that I have the table saw that should be very easy.

New network/computer rack
Just put together a new 4 foot rack I got from a friend. Have 2 full size shelves and 2 half shelves in it. I will put my network switch into it and probably a few patch panels for the house and plan to put a ups in it that powers all the stuff and then my router/firewall/ip pbx system and my new websever/video/file server also. Will put one monitor keyboard and mouse in the stand and put a switch in so I can control the 2 pcs. It will be nice to get them down and out of the way. I rarely do anything on them and it will work out great putting them down their. Might speed up the cable modem a bit also since it will be right at the line coming into the house. Hope to have it setup and running the firewall and switch this weekend. Will have to move a few things around but should fit in the back corner of my utility room just fine.

Well this is the second day back from cancun
It sure does suck coming back and have to work for a living again. That week in cancun was great. Got some snorkeling in and relaxed in the sun. Had a few good ping pong matches with my old roommate glen. Had beautiful weather down there. It sure did suck coming back and having to wait for a shuttle at the airport in 25 degree weather and 20 MPH winds. Just had a sweatshirt on. Man was it cold. Then yesterday it was -4 degrees when I went out to walk the dog and go to work. Man that is cold. 85 and sunny is so much better than this cold stuff. It was good to be back and relax at home though. Taylor our dog sure was happy to see us. That tail just seems to keep on going you know.

Well I have the table saw and it is about 80% put together
I have it up and almost ready to turn on. I have to tighten some of the bolts still and tweak a few connections. Then I can power it up to make sure it works and stuff. Then the tedious job of aligning and tweaking out all the adjustments to make sure it is true and cuts correctly. MIght have it up and ready to use in the shop by this weekend

New table saw on order
I had a few gift cards from christmas and my birthday for sears. Well it is one of those good weeks and they have craftsman club discounts going on. The most important one being the table saw I have had my eyes on. 10% off helps and the gift cards helps also. It should be in on tuesday. The specs say it is going to be about 255 pounds so I am hoping an old roomate of mine (that owns a truck) will be available sometime this week so we can get it loaded up and then get it into my basement. I hope to be able to get a few more blades and what not and be able to make a few cabinets for my basement. This saw has a special table extension that has a whole in it so I can mount my craftsman router in it and then I will have a router table also.

Taylors ears seem to be almost back to normal
I have not scene her try to scrach at them for the last two evenings. Hopefully we have them undercontrol and the infections is almost gone. We still have a few days left to give her pills but should make it through that without a problem. I hope her head clears up, I really have not seen any improvement on the two small spots as of yet. Proably will end up back at the vet for those two spots.
