Well this weekend I hope to relax and get to know the new reciever a bit more. Need to get one more component cable and an rca splitter so I can hook up the second sub. Then just have to run the side speakers to see how they work. Probably just temp and then put them away. Other than that. I want to get the rest of the insullation I have in the basement put up and maybe even finish up that last hvac run and put all that junk away. Might work on enclosing the metal pole with wood to get ready for drywall. Depending on weather I have two 15 pound bags of grass seed I want to put down also. Think I will test this a bit. I proabable will put a whole bunch down in a few areas and see how those areas do. Then after that I will put the rest down.
Got the reciever
Well, I had to go pick up the onkyo last night because the fedex guy needed signature. So got it home. Came in a pretty big box and it was plenty heavy. Didn’t even get to open it until about 10pm. So just got it out and looked at it and then took the manual and read for a bit before I want to bed. This morning I hooked it to power and hooked two of my small realistic speakers to it to make sure it worked. Turner worked fine and speakers made some sound so I know it at least powers on and seems to work. Tonight I plan to come home and start dinner and get taylor fed. Then I plan to start the (hopefully not to bad of a) process of taking the old reciever out and putting the new one in. I might actually have to go find a dvd at bestbuy also that is encoded in dts7.1. I might have one already, I will have to check. Can’t wait to get both the side speakers hooked up temporarly and see what this unit can do.

New Reciever
Well after tracking my new reciever, I noticed sunday that it was on it’s way to grand rapids. Monday I noticied it was coming to my town. So I called to see if I can pick it up. Well they will not allow me to pick it up unless it has been out for delivery once already or if the shipper changes the way it was shipped so I can pick it up 2 days early. That made me so happy. So it is going to have to sit in the fedex warehouse for two days. Well this morning I found that is is out for delievery. It is suppose to get a signature so we shall see. They will probably just leave it on the door. If not I will have to go over and pick it up tonight. So I get to do some playing tonight. Have to go get my other 2 speakers so I can try out the 7.1 dts tonight.

Wrong dog
Well last night I went out to a nice dinner with my wife and then ran a few errands and then came home. I had not been feeling to good all day and now my head was really hurting. So I went and laid down on the bed and taylor my dog came in and just laid there next to me. She for the most of the evening just lay there and once in awhile would get up and then go lay down somewhere else on the bed. She might hear something outside and let out a small bark. For the most part she just lay there. What I am getting at is, this is not my dog. She is a totally different dog since she was fixed last week. She might be starting to calm down and be a good house dog. Time will tell.

More supplies for the basement
Really didn’t do to much around the house this weekend. Went down to IL to see my brother and his family. The new baby (lexi) is so cute. Sunday worked around the house a bit and got some more insullation and some wood to finish up some rough in work. Other than that I slept quite a bit and relaxed for the most part sunday. Taylor pretty much just laid around with me also. Finally got the new computer up and running and it is now my video server and webserver. Still need to hook my photo printer up to it and get my misterhouse homeautomation server back up and running. Right now I am doing the most important thing. I am backing up the data finally. Have not done that since I moved to the new house, almost a year ago. Have gotten luck so far. Didn’t want to have a disaster though.

New Server
New server is up and running finally. This webserver is an athlon xp1700+ now. Have had the hardware for about 3 months now just no time to make it run and switch it over. So now my 200 gig server is up and running finally. Sad thing is I have about 70 gig free and that is it right now. Now to get a good back up before I go to bed.

Ordered the Onkyo reciever
Jenny gave me the go for it last night so I ordered the Onkyo TXSR800. Got it for a few cents over 700 bucks. Retail is 999 and that is the price at most places. onecall has a price matching policy and someone got them to pricematch to that price somehow. So the price was only good till midnight last night. Shipping was a bit expensive, 22bucks or something like that. But getting the whole things shipped for only 700 bucks, I think that was a total bargain. Now to find something to do with my onkyo 939. Email me if you want the 939 for a steal. Can’t wait to get this thing next week hopefully wed. I will finally be able to listen to a movie in dts. I hope it is as good as everybody tells me the sound is.

Taylor seems to be doing ok
Well it was kind of a long evening last night. We picked taylor up at about 5:30. She seemed to be doing very good. Got her home and all was fine. Then she started throwing up. Probably 3 times I would guess. Brought her cage up and set it up in the bedroom. So jenny and myself did not get the best sleep last night. Taylor just couldn’t get comfortable from the sounds of her stiring all night. This morning got up at about 5:45 and took her outside. She took care of business and came back in and drank a bit of water and sat with us and just enjoyed the company. She had a mouthful of food and then went into the bedroom and jumped up on the bed and lay there the rest of the morning. Got her to get up and took her outside one more time so she could bark at the neighbors as they went to work and then put her back in her cage. Will try not to worry about her until I go home for lunch. Have to give her antibiotics for the next 5 days and pain (horse pills) for the next 3 days. Hopefully she will start eating at lunch or dinner tonight. Want her to take the pain pills so she is comfortable.

The reciever I want
Onesale has the reciver I want at a very low price (300 below retail). It is the Onkyo TXSR800. The thing is pretty much everything I need. The big thing I wanted is the dts. 7.1 does make a nice upgrade from my 5.1 thx reciver right now that i have. But my current one does not have dts.
